Day of Caring is a community engagement event focused on expressing love for our community through service and acts of kindness. United Way has partnered with 5 local nonprofits to host drives, gather volunteers, and give back on Valentine’s Day!

Host a Snack Drive

Our goal is to assemble 200+ snack packs for distribution to students in multiple schools and grade levels. You can help by hosting a drive and packing kits, or we will collect your donations and assemble the kits in our office.

Letters to Veterans

Write a letter, draw a picture, or grab a greeting card to thank WII, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans for their service. You can drop off your contributions at our office from 9am-3pm or visit Fort Anderson to drop off there!

Letters to Veterans and Building a Fence

Brunswick Town / Fort Anderson has will be a host site for anyone interested to drop in on Feb 2 or Feb 9 to write letters to veterans, or you can drop off your letters until February 14th when they will be collected. You can also get your hands dirty and help them construct a new fence on the property.
